Summer TEFL jobs in Edinburgh
Embassy is a British Council accredited organisation which runs summer courses in various locations around the UK. We currently have vacancies for non-residential qualified EFL teachers at our Edinburgh centre, which is based at Lawrence House, Heriot Watt University. Dates: 19th June – 14th August. Age range of students: 10-17.
All EFL teachers are contracted to work 6 days per week (based on 42hours). Hours to include 1-2 sessions (=3-6hrs lesson preparation time) depending on half day or full day teaching programme.

ISIS Education is a British Council – accredited organisation that has been running junior summer courses for 20 years. We currently have vacancies for residential and non-residential EFL teachers and welcome applications from newly-qualified teachers.
Teachers are supported by experienced managers, a fully-resourced syllabus with accompanying lesson plans and a programme of seminars and workshops. Teachers are usually required to teach 30 hours per week and in the case of residential teachers to take part in 2 non-teaching sessions per week.
Location – Our Edinburgh Centres are based at Heriot Watt University and Jewel & Esk Valley College.
Start date – late June/early July
Salaries – these start at £300 per week for non-residential teachers and £270 per week for residential teachers, plus pay in lieu of any untaken holiday (12.07% of total gross salary). Full board and accommodation is provided for residential staff.
At the Jewel & Esk Valley College campus teachers are employed on a Teacher Activity Leader basis: 15 hours teaching per week plus 5 non-teaching sessions for non-residential staff and 7 sessions for residential staff. This role is particularly suitable for staff who want the opportunity to engage with their students outside of the classroom and take part fully in the activity programme.

Stafford House Study Holidays is accredited by The British Council and has been running summer courses for juniors around the UK since 1994. We are part of Cambridge Education Group, which includes sixth-form colleges and Foundation programmes in partnership with leading UK universities. Teachers are fully supported by a syllabus, in-house student workbooks, weekly teacher development workshops and a Director of Studies and Senior Teachers at each centre. The working week consists of 42 hours spread over 6 days and includes 2 hours admin time.
