LAL young learners
St Mary’s University College – Twickenham, London
Join us at LAL for a life-changing experience working with international young learners at one of our six British Council accredited residential summer schools. We are now filling vacancies at all of our campuses, with contracts ranging from 2-7 weeks between June and August. We are looking for responsible and outgoing Teachers, Activity Leaders and House Parents to maintain our high standard of courses for young learners.
We are also looking for candidates with previous summer schools experience to apply for senior positions in our welfare, academic and leisure departments Last year all of our British Council accredited summer schools proved hugely successful.
The feedback was very positive and this was all down to our passionate and dedicated staff. As we continue to grow there is always a need for positive and dynamic new staff to join our team of experienced and supportive returning seasonal staff.
At LAL we welcome and support newly qualified teachers while allowing experienced teachers the opportunity to express their own creativity within the classroom. We are looking for the most enthusiastic, energetic and motivated leisure staff interested in a wide range of sports, drama, music, film and arts and crafts to deliver a varied and accessible activity and excursion programme.
Can you maintain the balance of being a caring and approachable House Parent while being a figure of authority? Can you keep discipline in a school of teenagers whilst still giving them a summer full of activities and excursions they will never forget? Can you deliver fun, communicate, high quality lessons to overseas students of varying levels of English? Are you able to motivate a team of staff in a pressurised environment? If so, and you are a naturally fun and outgoing person who still maintains a very high level of responsibility and reliability then you could be the perfect addition to our team.
