Ardmore Language Schools
Ardmore Language Schools run summer English courses for students from all over the world in 19 residential and two non-residential centres across the UK. We hold British Council accreditation and are the first language school in the UK to have received Travel Safe Gold Accreditation.
Every year we carefully select over 550 summer staff from thousands of applicants from the UK and Europe. We offer residential and non-residential positions and, where possible, let applicants choose a location they want to work at. If residential, we offer full board and accommodation free of charge (no salary deductions). Our standard contract length is for four weeks, however, we offer extensions of up to four weeks in the summer. We also have positions available at Easter and throughout the year during the off season.
We pride ourselves in offering comprehensive training into all our roles, including Ardmore-specific Online Training & Safeguarding, residential Management Training, self access Continuous Professional Development programmes and role specific Induction training for all staff. We also provide every employee with a Staff Handbook, regular appraisal and feedback to all our staff as well as references at the end of employment. Our teachers work with six levels of Ardmore workbooks, Teacher’s notes, toolkits and audio materials.

Students have 20 lessons a week, spread over four teaching days. Classes range from beginner to advanced level and there is a maximum of 15 students in a class.
Almost all our students are residential. When not in class they participate in a full programme of activities. Students go on excursion for two or three full days a week.

Churchill House School of English was established in 1971 and is accredited by the British Council and a member of Quality English. We have been running summer residential courses for many years and now have 9 centres around England in addition to our all year round school in Ramsgate. We currently have summer TEFL jobs in Oxford, where we use St Benets Hall. We pay extremely good rates, up to £345 p/w (plus a weekly £15 bonus) plus free accommodation and statutory holiday pay (12.07% of salary).
Qualifications: All teachers must have a minimum of a CELTA, CELTYL or Trinity TESOL. Previous teaching experience desirable. University degree preferred. All candidates may be required to hold or undergo a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) enhanced disclosure.

Embassy is a British Council accredited organisation which runs summer courses in various locations around the UK. We currently have summer TEFL jobs in Oxford for non-residential qualified EFL teachers at our centre based at Oxford Brookes University.
All EFL teachers are contracted to work 6 days per week (based on 42hours). Hours to include 1-2 sessions (=3-6hrs lesson preparation time) depending on half day or full day teaching programme.

Oxford Brookes University
UIC Study Programmes (formerly ISIS Education) is a British Council-accredited organisation that has been running junior summer courses for 24 years. We currently have vacancies for residential and non-residential EFL teachers and Teacher-Activity Leaders. We welcome applications from newly-qualified teachers. Staff are supported by experienced managers, a fully-resourced syllabus with accompanying lesson plans and a programme of seminars and workshops. Teachers are usually required to teach 30 hours per week and in the case of residential teachers to take part in 2 non-teaching sessions per week.
